Frequently asked by new members

What age group are the teen judo classes for?

Our teen judo classes are designed for young people aged 13–16. This age range ensures the sessions are tailored to their physical and mental development.

Is it too late for my 15 or 16-year-old to start judo?

Not at all! Our club welcomes all skill levels, whether your teen is a beginner or has some experience. Our coaches ensure everyone progresses at their own pace.

Do you have separate classes for younger children?

Yes, we offer sessions for younger age groups, starting from age 5. These classes focus on building foundational skills in a fun and supportive environment.

How often should my teen attend judo classes?

We recommend attending 2 classes per week for steady progress. Consistency helps your teen build discipline, skills, stay engaged, and gain the full benefits of training.

Will older teens be paired with younger teens?

We group teens in our sessions based on their size, skill level, and experience to ensure safety and effective learning. Everyone gets matched appropriately during training. More advanced players are able to adjust their movements and strength accordingly to help newcomers develop.

What happens when my teen turns 17?

At our club, progression depends on skill level and experience. Teens who turn 17 can either continue in advanced teen sessions or move on to adult classes, based on what best supports their development.
