Judo Academy Northampton's Exclusive Ice Skating Event at Chester House Estate

In December 2024, we brought the Judo Academy Northampton community together for a memorable Family Day filled with fun, laughter, and connection. Here’s a look back at the day that had something for everyone!

Skating Adventures on the Ice

The day kicked off with a visit to the ice rink, where parents, Judokas, and coaches embraced the challenge of gliding (and occasionally tumbling!). Laughter filled the rink as everyone gave it their best shot—whether showing off their moves or simply enjoying the moment. The adaptability, teamwork, and positivity on display were inspiring and showcased the strong bond within our community. From parents giving their best effort, to Judokas showing off their adaptability and teamwork, the day was filled with laughter, cheering, and unforgettable moments. Watching everyone embrace the challenge with such enthusiasm was a fantastic reminder of the strong bond within our community.

After skating, it was time to recharge with a well-deserved food break. Sharing a meal together provided the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy each other’s company before diving into more activities.

A Test of Judo Knowledge

Next, we put our judo knowledge to the test with a competitive judo quiz. Divided into teams of parents, Judokas, and coaches, everyone worked together to answer questions about judo’s history, techniques, and values. The quiz brought out everyone’s competitive side while reinforcing the educational and cultural aspects of our sport.

Toilet Paper Snowman Contest

The day ended with a festive and hilarious activity—the toilet paper roll snowman challenge. Teams unleashed their creativity to build the most imaginative snowmen, leading to plenty of laughter and photo-worthy moments. It was the perfect way to wrap up the day, blending teamwork and festive cheer.

A Day to Remember

Our December Family Day was more than just an event—it was a celebration of the strong sense of community at Judo Academy Northampton. From skating to snowmen, every activity highlighted the values we hold dear: teamwork, learning, and connection.
