On 20th October 2024, our players from Judo Academy Northampton travelled to Nottingham to compete in the U16 Age and Grade Band Open, and we couldn't be prouder of their performances. Every one of our Judokas fought with heart and determination, representing our club with the highest level of sportsmanship.

A special mention goes to Gloria, who showed incredible determination fighting against higher belt grades. She displayed true sportsmanship throughout and gave it her all, pushing beyond her limits.

Bertie also had an exceptional performance, with one of his matches lasting over 6 minutesβ€”a test of both endurance and strategy that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

Luca deserves a massive shoutout for his endurance, competing in a total of 5 fights, including one last one lasting for over 6 minutes. His commitment and fighting spirit were on full display, as he gave everything and won each match.

Every single one of our competitors returned home with a well-earned medal, showing once again that hard work and perseverance pay off. We’re incredibly proud of the way our team came together to represent Judo Academy Northampton, bringing medals and making us proud on and off the mat.

Keep up the great work, and let’s keep building on this momentum for the next competition!
