The British Schools Championships 2025 in Sheffield was an incredible experience for our team, with two of our Judoka stepping onto the podium! A huge congratulations to Keira, who claimed a gold medal, and Luca, who battled through a tough 17-player category to secure bronze.
One of the largest school-based judo competitions in the UK, the British Schools Championships brings together talented young Judoka from across the country. With hundreds of competitors across multiple weight and age categories, it’s a true test of skill, determination, and competitive spirit. Securing a medal at this event is no small feat, making these achievements even more impressive!
Keira showed up determined, focused, and ready to dominate. From the first match, she displayed strong technique, precise execution, and unwavering confidence, taking control of every fight. Her performance was a reflection of the hours of training, drilling, and refining her judo. With each contest, she proved why she belonged at the top of the podium, finishing the day as British Schools Champion.
Luca had a challenging road to the podium, competing in a stacked 17-player category. Despite facing tough opposition, he fought with determination and grit, showcasing smart tactics and adaptability throughout the day. After some intense matches, he secured a well-earned bronze medal, proving that hard work and resilience lead to success.
Beyond the podium finishes, this competition was a reminder of what judo is all about—showing up, putting in the work, and pushing forward, no matter the outcome. Both Keira and Luca kept training through wins and losses, improving session after session, and their results are a testament to their dedication.
